We all know traveling can be very stressful, especially when visiting an unfamiliar airport. While LAX is the major international airport in Los Angeles, we recommend utilizing the Hollywood Burbank Airport in Burbank, California. It's a smaller airport and is only about 20 minutes (without traffic) from Santa Clarita, and is less crowded, which allows for a smoother onboarding and off boarding process.

If you have to use the LAX airport, try to get an early morning flight or a late night flight. Traffic is much better around 4am versus 8am or 9am. Plus the airport is generally less crowded at those times. Also keep in mind, the LAX airport is undergoing some major renovations. This is ultimately going to make the airport even more beautiful, however right now-more congestion and confusion.

During the month of August, Southern California will experience some of the hottest weather of the year-especially in Santa Clarita. Be sure you prepare for triple-digit temperatures while you are visiting.
